Statement of Philosophy

 The mission of the Library Media Center at Meade Senior High is to be a source of exploration, discovery and learning. As an extension of the classroom, we believe that it is our major responsibility to guide students and teachers to the information each is seeking at the time needed by providing an organized collection of resources, and instruction in the effective use of these resources. In an environment conducive to learning, the Library Media Center promotes the concepts of open access to information, intellectual freedom and life-long learning.
