1st unexcused lateness
  • Teacher will send student to the Student Advocate for a late pass. The student will be reminded of the lateness policy.
2nd unexcused lateness
  • A letter will be sent home to the parent/guardian.
3rd unexcused lateness
  • Student will be assigned A.M. detention.
4th unexcused lateness     
  • Student will be assigned Friday Night of Saturday School.
5th unexcused lateness
  •   Student will be suspended (2 days).

** Students who are late two times in one day without a legal excuse will be assigned a detention.

** Students who arrive late to the cafeteria for lunch will be assigned a detention by the Student Advocate.

** Hall passes expire (5) minutes after indicated time.  Any student found in the halls after the expiration of a pass will be subject to suspension.  Students found in the hallway anytime without a pass are subject to consequences.

NOTE:  Students must be in their seats when the bell sounds.  There will be random hall sweeps and appropriate discipline actions will occur.

 

Teacher Notes

•  Please check the validity of the pass. (Time, Date, Signature)

•  Report to Administration any circumstances that seem “different”.

•  Do not allow student to run in at the bell or stand around the door. All students should be seated and working on the warm-up drill.

All Students must be ready and in the “Learning Position” when the last bell rings.

  “Learning Position” means:

•  Student is seated

•  Student is alert

•  Student is working on warm-up

•  Student has supplies out

LATE TO SCHOOL POLICY
1st   Time     Warning
2nd   Time     Warning Letter
3rd   Time     A.M. Detention (Phone Call to Parents/Guardian )
4th   Time     Friday Night/Saturday School
5th   Time     Saturday School and Loss of Driving Privileges (until end of semester)
6th   Time     Suspension – 2 days
7th   Time     Suspension – 4 days
8th + Time     Suspension – 5 days
 
** NOTE:  Students can receive consequences at any time.  Students losing driving privileges must re-apply by submitting a new application and paying a new fee.
 
Classroom Expectations

Students are expected to:

          •  Have all supplies daily

          •  Be on time

          •  No sleeping in class (head up at all times)

          •  Respect Teachers and Peers

          •  Use appropriate language

          •  Take responsibility for one's actions
