Computer Information and Rules

To enter the Information Highway, you must:

1. Register at the circulation desk.
(Student must sign the log book upon entering the Library Media Center) 

2. Have authorization to drive on the Internet 
(a computer will be assigned to you)

To obtain permission you must be proficient in the following:

A. Getting started...

How to navigate (using the mouse & keyboard)

Knowing what to click (using links)

Identifying a Homepage (destination)

Not getting lost (using the tool bar)

B. Reading the map...

Search by address

Search by subject

C. Parking...

Arrival (document done?)

Paying the meter (printing with prior approval)

Reserved Parking (save on "H" drive only!)

To maintain Meade's endorsement you must obey these traffic regulations:

A. Know your destination (educational research only)
