HOMELAND SECURITY SIGNATURE AT MEADE HIGH SCHOOL
What is a signature? A Signature offers high school students unique thematic courses and co-curricular opportunities that are workforce relevant and may include technical, community college 4-year college pathways. The Signature specifically relates topics and ideas to a theme that is unique to each school community. Each of the 12 comprehensive high schools in Anne Arundel County will offer a unique Signature Program.

Middle-school appropriate, comic book-style site, but lots of good information in a very palatable format. Good links. Interracial and inter-gender considerations. Encyclopedia-style articles and interviews with “real” scientists on current, hot issues. Adult site for job hunters, but includes college student opportunities. Great site for students interested in the types of careers with best known HSA agency before HSA existed. Very informative job descriptions requirements, duties… See above. Not as good as CIA site, but different purpose. Designed to tell about the Training Academy, includes information about careers, but mostly focused on what one would do if one attended the FBI Training Academy. Good for students interested in law enforcement careers at the highest level.

Divided K-6 and 6-12. Students would like this although it’s a little elementary for high schoolers. Lots of great links within the site and outside for information, articles, fun stuff to do (which is actually educational) games that teach or at least exemplify FBI activities and skills.
