Math Academy   Twilight School

Every oher Saturday
Time: 8:30-9:45 A.M.
Course: Algbra I, Geometry


Purpose: To provide extra help to Algebra I and Geometry students. This is especially helpful for Athletes who annot attend the Math Clinic.

Contact: The Math Department

 

Purpose: To provide opportunities for 9th grade students who were unsuccessfulin earning credit in Math, Science, English, or Social Studies to recover credit in those courses. Twilight School courses are offered during the second semester.

Cost: Determined by BOE

Math Clinic   Late-Hours Media

Wednesday and Thursday
Time: 2:30-3:30 P.M. in D454

Purpose: To provide extra help to students in all math classes except Math Applications.

Contact: The Math Department

 

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Time: 2:00-4:00 P.M.

Purpose: To provide students an opportunity to study, do research, get PIE tutoring, and use the Internet for educational purposes.

Time: 2:30-3:00 P.M

Counselors are available to assist students with college applications, scholarship applicatins, and college essays

Wednesdays
Time: 2:00-4:00 P.M.

Purpose: To provide AP Social Studies and English students an opportunity to improve content knowledge in AP Modern European History, AP Psychology, AP U.S. History, AP English, or AP English Language. There is no cost for this program.

  National Honor Society Tutoring

Days and times established by student and point-of-contact.

Generally held after school

Purpose: To provide students an opportunity to receive extra help with any subject. There is no cost for this program.

Contact: The Social Studies or the English Department

     
SAT Coach   Extra Help with the Teacher

Purpose: To provide students the opportunity to prepare for the S.A.T. (during HSA testing in the Spring)

Cost of course - $50.00 approx.
Cost of test: - $16.00 approx.

Generally held after school

Purpose: To provide students with one-on-one assistance with teachers of the courses the student may be having difficulty with.

Contact: Students should make arrangements with their individual teachers to arrange a time for extra help. Transportation is available on Wednesdays.
